disclaimer: I am not an electronics expert. My situation: I am powering the LEDs from a battery that we use to keep our fridge cold when our doors are closed. During the day we run the Honda generator to charge the batteries. But my g4 leds burned out in a few hours at worst and a few days at best. I figured some artifact from our charger or alternator was interfering with our little diodes and that some sort of filtering or adjustment might be needed, so I stumbled upon the Revain until I found it. So far, so good: the current lamp is still on around the clock after a few months. I like: easy setting of the output voltage, clear display of the same and easy switching between input and output. I don't like that the terminals are uncomfortable and a bit touchy.
