Description of Buck Converter 24V to 12V, DROK Power Supply Module DC 5-32V to DC 0-30V 5V 1.5A Adjustable LM2596 Step Down Voltage Regulator with LED Indicator

Parameters --- DROK DC-DC buck converter’s input voltage range is DC 5-32.0V, output voltage range is DC 0-30.0V, max output current is 1.5A, max output power is 30W. LED indicators --- the red LED will light on when you measure input voltage, and the green LED will light on when you measure output voltage. Buttons--- ON/OFF is the output voltage control button; IN/OUT (which are on the left of the digital display) can switch between current input voltage and output voltage; SET key is to set the output voltage. Features --- It is low power consumption, and has terminal and retain the wire bonding wiring point. Note --- Please make sure that you use this module within its working range; do not output short-circuit or charge the battery, otherwise the board would burn.

Good quality, accurate, useful.

I was very impressed with the build quality of this product. The LED meter was accurate and extremely handy for setting the output voltage to the desired level and monitoring the source's performance. One thing that needs to be emphasized more clearly is that as a buck converter this product can ONLY step down the voltage. The maximum output voltage is 1 volt below the input voltage. When a stable output voltage independent of the input voltage (within reasonable limits) is required, a…

eBike charger project

I've bought a couple of these for RPi 2 projects before. My son's 60 volt e-bike, but the charger for it was outrageously expensive. This eliminates the need to charge each battery individually. The document says that a heatsink should be used if the load is over 1.5 amps, but says nothing about what size or where to place it. I assume a Raspberry Pi heatsink will work. I loved the DVM and control buttons that allow customization of each battery. UPDATE: These parts arrived well ahead of the…

In this case you get more than you pay for.

I really like this little stock. I've tested it over and over again and it's absolutely accurate. It holds the tension very well. My only complaint (if I have one) is the tension adjustment screw. It would be nice if they used a standard pot with a dial, handle, wheel or whatever. Trying to adjust the tension with that little screw can be annoying at times. Do not get me wrong. Fits and holds up great. Trying to find your little screwdriver in the combat roles, so to speak, can be a daunting…

Nice bang for the buck.

disclaimer: I am not an electronics expert. My situation: I am powering the LEDs from a battery that we use to keep our fridge cold when our doors are closed. During the day we run the Honda generator to charge the batteries. But my g4 leds burned out in a few hours at worst and a few days at best. I figured some artifact from our charger or alternator was interfering with our little diodes and that some sort of filtering or adjustment might be needed, so I stumbled upon the Revain until I…

Drok Voltage Regulator

This little device does exactly what I want it to do. You can see the input voltage and by pressing the button you can see the output voltage. You can precisely adjust the output voltage to the desired voltage you choose. For example I use it to take a supply voltage of 27 VDC and step it down to an output supply voltage of 18 VDC. This device allows you to tune the output signal to within a tenth of a volt depending on the load it sees. Now you understand that this doesn't show the voltage of…

Works well, very simple controls.

I bought this device to regulate the voltage coming from a portable solar panel (the voltage from the panel can vary between 12 and 22V) and so far it works very well. The output is stable and the built in voltmeter is within the accuracy of the DMM I used to test. As others have pointed out, the height of the covers and other components makes fitting the unit into the box problematic - to solve this I clamped the circuit board between two pieces of polycarbonate and secured everything with…

If it fails, it fails "closed "!

We used this in our robot for the IEEE SouthEastCon 2016 hardware competition last week. We bought this item a couple of months ago and it has worked great in fairly heavy use (robot vibration and constant wiring changes due to design changes). However, the day before the competition in Norfolk, Virginia, a decision was made to stop work. It was connected to a 12V battery and would output 5V to Arduino, servos, sonar, etc., but when it failed it would "short out" and send 12V to all of those…

Great little DC-DC converter

Does pretty much what it says on the tin. I checked the accuracy of the output and input voltages shown on the display with a Fluke digital voltmeter and they were within a few millivolts. This is just a buck converter. I misinterpreted the description and hoped it was a boost/buck converter nicked at this price. Although it's just a buck converter, it's excellent. I found that under heavy load (2A load) the device gets very hot, so I think it's advisable to reduce the load. The instructions…

Excellent! Better than expected!

I bought these in the hope that my experience wouldn't be the same as some who have claimed some pretty horrific (and explosive) results. All 5 units ordered were set to the same 5.0v output voltage and worked exactly as expected. They are used in some new devices and now with more confidence. For those buying things that might need to be "actively tuned" for efficiency or safety, I would suggest a 50 ohm 10 watt output resistor, and I used a current-limiting desktop power supply to test them .
