Review on Buck Converter 24V to 12V, DROK Power Supply Module DC 5-32V to DC 0-30V 5V 1.5A Adjustable LM2596 Step Down Voltage Regulator with LED Indicator by Ayush Bonuccelli

I bought this device to regulate the voltage coming from a portable solar panel (the voltage from the panel can vary between 12 and 22V) and so far it works very well. The output is stable and the built in voltmeter is within the accuracy of the DMM I used to test. As others have pointed out, the height of the covers and other components makes fitting the unit into the box problematic - to solve this I clamped the circuit board between two pieces of polycarbonate and secured everything with nylon bolts and nuts as standoffs. I drilled a hole in the top of the polycarbonate to allow access to the potentiometer to adjust the output control. There is enough space between the polycarbonate parts to access a button that toggles between the I/O display on the voltmeter. I have noticed that the unit gets a little warm when in use, so a heatsink may be required. So far, however, this has not been a problem. TL; DR: Good product, works well. Would buy again.
