Usually works fine

It seems to do what it's supposed to do most of the time. But a security NVR isn't something you want to "expect" to work MOST of the time, you want it to work so you never have to think about it. I can't tell if the hardware is at fault or if it's the viewer software, but I'm getting playback errors (Failed to start playback. DHNETSDK returns an error) and have to restart, and that doesn't always help. Also the first position in the live view doesn't work half the time. I put camera 1 in that block in the viewer and it just sits there and says "Find video" but I move the same camera to block 2 in the app and it immediately appears (and the one moving to that block says search .) Also, the software is total garbage. There are no forward or backward buttons. The ONLY way to move through the video is to keep clicking on the timeline and HOPE you move forward or backward about as long as you intended. There are no forward or back buttons, no hotkeys, nothing, just play stop and pause and then mouse over the timeline. It includes a speed slider 2x 3x 4x to 8x, which works at 2x and sometimes others, but when set to say 4x, it usually shows one frame, then pauses for four seconds, then shows the next frame. So it doesn't speed it up, it just skips it in an annoyingly slower way. There is absolutely NOTHING notable good about this product other than "it usually works well". Oh and I registered the device so now they email me about firmware updates for products I DO NOT own.

Pros
  • Good
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
