Review on Control Tech Terminator MTB Black by Sean Patel

I have a Scott mountain bike with standard 22.2mm handlebars. This bike has so many controls that I really didn't want to squeeze things further with a piece of crank and move everything inward to accommodate some of the new bar ends. I found and researched them here on Revain. It seemed like they were working. Boy did they! I can't find the photos I took straight out of the box. They are very well done. The outer diameter is 22.2 mm. I planned to use them for extensions to install new rod ends. NOTE: They are tightened into the handlebars and hold very well with a 6mm hex wrench. I removed the bar end caps, inserted the Control Tech Terminator MTB and started tightening. I decided to let them adjust for a few minutes and then checked to make sure they were tight enough on the handlebars. They still moved slightly when the ends of the rod were tightened. No big deal, just tightened it up a bit. The ends of the bars I bought have a thinner profile at the attachment point. I attached a few ends of carbon sticks and they took up the entire mounting surface. This also works if you want to push the handles back a little more. Great way to make your rods longer. The photos show the inside of the Control Tech Terminator MTB Extension, then the view with the bar ends installed, pictured from the outside from both sides. The last photo is with water in the frame after about 20 miles of hard driving. They've never moved and I'm Clydesdale. When climbing, I tear the handlebar ends. I was impressed. You will too. Try them and you will be happy. I'll certainly have a few on hand if trimming the handles to move things inwards is undesirable or desirable. They meet all the requirements of T!
