It's really a hassle to strip the jacket of a cable from a multi-terminal cable. Before I bought this I tried removing the lid with a knife or stripper. Half the time I cut the internal cables. This tool is great. You can simply insert the end of the cable into the tool and adjust the depth of the blade according to the cable jacket thickness. I love this tool, just wish I had bought it a long time ago. It's a little pricey for what it is, but considering how much time it saved me, I'm happy with it.
