The product is really good, I'm glad I bought it.

I'll do my part. I will quote one of the "speakers" with whom I completely agree: "If you want quiet and comfortable tires, you get cottony handling, and most likely bumps. If you want rubber with precise handling, you have to listen to the rumble of the wheels and count the joints of the asphalt." Having left on a regular Yokohama 205/55 R16 with a primitive pattern (which slid on wet grass when starting off and yuzala on sandy asphalt), I began to choose between the "hard" Bridgestone Potenza S001 and the "soft" MICHELIN Primacy 3 205/55 R16. Of course, at first I wanted peace and comfort. But I remembered about the side cuts and hernias on the Michelin, which was on the old Golf-3, and insecure behavior when cornering at a speed of 130-150. I read reviews, consulted with a professional friend who knows my driving style and what roads I drive. I ended up getting the Bridgestone Potenza S001. Only driven 300km so far. Yes, there is a little noise and a little harsher than Yokohama. But ! Now I understand what they are writing about here about "goes like on rails", it really is. Regardless of the speed, the car seemed to stick to the pavement in corners and in a straight line. They also write about rutting, according to this parameter I didn’t feel the difference with the summer Yokohama and the winter Bridgestone Ice Cruiser 5000. I asked my wife’s opinion about the noise, she answered - at first it seemed noisier, but now (after 300 km) I don’t notice - the main thing is safety, summed up. I agree. I didn’t check for aquaplaning, there was no rain yet, but I’m sure that it will be better than regular Yokohama with short 1.5 cm drainage grooves.

Pros
  • Controllability
Cons
  • a little noisier and harsher than regular summer
