This is one of the best indicators on the market that is an Interapid accessory. Contains 3 carbide contact points. 2 bars and a bar to measure the height. It's a lot of attachments that comes with a $105 indicator in a $112 package! Contact points alone cost $55. They fit perfectly with the Noga fine adjustment spindle lever. Unlike the Interapid, you don't have a rotating stem. Although it comes with a similar dovetail mounted stock, it is stationary. Because of this, it doesn't pair well with Indicol. The Noga handles the load better because the fine adjustment helps center the stroke. Whereas Interapid can simply be inserted into the borehole wall and assembled by hand. Another reason the Interapid is so good, plus it has a more generous 0.06″ of travel. Still used correctly, this indicator is amazing and very smooth and accurate. It might not be exactly Interapid, but it's really close. Very comparable to the best half price dough. Mitutoyo is the most trusted brand in the world. Tesa May brown and sharp dial. Starrett might have Nonius. Mitutoyo are digitally savvy but everything they do is high quality Japanese production and out of all these big names this is the ONLY one that lets you know where it was made without having to play detective.
