Purchased for a laptop. One of the height adjustment stands broke on the keyboard I was using. Took off another adjustable stand, slipped these arched stands underneath and got + solid writing feet straight away. Dome stands don't move, so they're great for lifting laptops too. These Nedea universal laptop/computer keyboard stands are approximately 1" x 1" in height. A little high for my taste. If the tops were flatter, I think they would be better. In terms of magnetism, magnets are weak. They hardly stick together. It's possible to put them on a metal cabinet, but if a fly lands on it, it's likely to fall off. Weak magnets. As for people worried about magnets. There are 100 magnets in a typical hard drive, usually two. I disassemble hard drives, remove the magnets for reuse, and destroy the platters for safety.
