This is how your little one learns how to use scissors. Concerned about security? I hope so, because Fiskars is clearly not like that. Straight out of the box we tried cutting thick paper, but the cut wasn't clear or light (and not wavy). Thinking they were just a bit boring, I let my daughter try it. Suddenly they got stuck and flew out of her hands and onto her knees. Upon closer inspection, one of the blades (on the black side) was completely missing, and the protrusions used for attachment were completely warped. Haven't you installed one of the two blades in a pair of children's scissors? Of course, my daughter later complained that her arm hurt and she didn't want to learn how to use scissors anymore. Awesome, thanks Fiskars.
