I have struggled with these feathers for many years. My minibus is 16 years old. The jambs were replaced due to a recall about 12 years ago, but the overhead gate has been sagging ever since. Lots of headbutts! A month ago it stopped opening altogether. I contacted the dealer and found out it was a $500 repair! Ridiculous. I saw the video on YouTube and ordered it. I put a ladder under the tailgate and replaced both springs in less than 5 minutes! This may be the easiest car repair I've ever done. I'm sure they'll wear out in a few years too and if I still have this beast I'll do the same again. Great.
