The remote control is not compatible with LEDVD1975A-2

The description states that the remote control "works immediately after the batteries are installed" and is compatible with my LEDVD1975A-2 TV model. That's not exact; I tried some new AA batteries in the remote to turn on the TV (didn't work). I reset the remote control.
