I expected thinner socks to match my sports shoes. My fault for not reading the description carefully. What outweighs this criticism is the fact that I can wear them around the house for a few cold feet and then slip them into a pair of shoes that sit comfortably on top of them. The colors are gorgeous and go with almost anything if matching is your game. The cushioning is ideal if you have slightly larger shoes on your feet. Or you need the protective shield my aging legs need. I am happy with my choice
