I bought this for my 6 year old who likes to smack (not much) for a greeting or attention. I thought this would allow him to hit whatever he wants and be a good outlet for his energy. He's a perfectionist, which is why he had an initial crisis where he didn't get it right at first. But he kept trying, like perfectionists do, and used it quite often. He even figured out how to wrap his hands his own way. I think it's a goalkeeper and will come in handy. It will also help when he gets angry and has trouble regulating his emotions. I love that there are 3 different balls that he can use as he develops his skills. Good product.
