Very good material for the price. It can be easily disassembled and thoroughly cleaned. It's heavy and feels very sturdy. The encased gears are a real plus - I get a bit messy making sausage. The four holes on the bottom are great for screwing to the board, but I just use two clips and attach it to the table top. Holds up very well. The hopper holds 5 pounds of sausage, allowing you to cook most recipes in one load. About 3 ounces of sausage stays in the tube (medium size) when the trigger hits the bottom, which is fine because I love rewarding myself with a small grilled sausage after my efforts. However, if you're making very small batches, this can make up a significant percentage of your recipe (this is true of all sausage fillers). I would give it five stars apart from the following two complaints: The grip is secured with an Allen screw (wrench included) but it loosens with use and I've loosened the grip a few times in the middle of a turn. I can't seem to pull it tight enough to hold a full 5 pounds of sausage. Also, it would be nice if the manufacturer flattened the excess plastic on the ends of the tubes before shipping - if you don't, your cases will break when loaded.
