Review on Hillbilly Protective Gear 27042 Impact by Ray Welchhance

Revainrating 4 out of 5

SMALL size is too big for ME (5'4 " 118 lbs female) but good padding otherwise.

I bought a small (S) thinking the waist would fit but these shorts are generally too big so I ordered XS instead If I *had* to wear them I could, but there are a few downsides Sagging in the shorts Lining is very durable and seems like it will take a big one Take the hit.Slightly too big around the legs and the coccyx pad doesn't quite line up for me although it will protect me a bit if need be Leave this pair.Otherwise they look ok considering the natural protrusions Padding is. My shirts are looser at the waist so they cover the top third of these shorts. Haven't worn them yet as I'm waiting for the XS to arrive but the padding seems strong enough. I have e also ordered another brand that didn't arrive so I can update my post when everything arrives. UPDATE: 8/25/19 (2 years, 8 months later). I still wear this thing about 4 times a week when I skate. It has "saved my ass" many times. However, a few months ago I had a bad fall and hit my tailbone so badly that I was out of action (barely able to walk) for 3 weeks. The coccyx protection is not as good as on the sides of the legs/bottom. So I've now added inserted padding just down the back (between this and my leggings) for extra tailbone protection. I bought a mat from the shop at the ice rink. It is especially suitable as a coccyx pad for wearing over trousers/leggings. I'm sure you can find this notebook at Revain. I paid about 15€ for it in the store. If you really want to protect your tailbone, I suggest strengthening this product.
