Review on 📡 Eighwood Dual Band UHF VHF Antenna Mount for Car Truck Two Way Radio - 144MHz 430MHz, NMO Ham Mobile Radio Antenna by Jason Ortiz

I installed an Eighwood dual band UHF VHF antenna with a known good NMO mount in the center of the roof of my van and was unable to pick up local weather service transmissions on 162.400MHz. With the supplied rubber duck antenna I was able to get the weather service on my scanner in the van. I tried cleaning the center pin of the NMO mount with steel wool and was able to reach the weather service when the steel brush touched the center conductor. Steel wool is a better antenna than the Eighwood UHF VHF Dual Band antenna! It goes back to Revain.
