Review on LG 27UL500-W 4K UHD IPS Monitor πŸ” with Freesync, HDR, Tilt Adjustment, and Wall Mount Compatibility by Dylan Duncan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Big update on my edit

I bought this monitor to replace an old HP IPS model that I was never able to color match. I edit on a MacBook Pro and the colors between the MacBook and the old monitor were always quite far apart. There were a lot of red oversaturation problems on the old monitor. I saw the reviews on it and thought it was worth a try. As long as I like it Colors are much closer to my Mac right out of the box and clarity is amazing. The old monitor had a resolution of 1920 x 1440. I use this monitor at 3840 x 2160/60Hz and it works out of the box for Photoshop and Lightroom. Skin tones represent real tones much better. Pros: Clear picture, good color, good brightness. Cons: I don't like the menu system, the joystick and beeps are very annoying. The sounds generated by the monitor are very similar to old school Colleco video games. When it goes out, it hurts.
