Review on Spectre Performance Black Profile Insert by Christopher Gulledge

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I had to use a dryer duct to connect the Specter hose.

The product appears to be quite durable. Based on the feedback here I've pricked and poked it to make sure it doesn't tear with use. Comes with two clamps but I haven't used them. This is for my no pressure shot and it fits tight enough not to pop out. I used it with a Specter bulkhead fitting and a Specter Flex hose. It fits perfectly with the baffle fitting. But how do you attach it to the hose? The included small 2.5 inch adapter was too weak and too short. So I went to Home Depot and bought a 3 inch drying tube about 12 inches long for less than $4. I trimmed it to about 4 inches long, painted it black for durability and it works great. Bit tight on both hoses and 90. Had to rip them both out. But they definitely won't come off. If you use matte paint it will be much more difficult to attach the hose. One of the advantages of using a metal dryer duct is that it is thin enough that it does not impede the flow of water.
