Review on Zojirushi Thermal Serve Carafe: 1L Red, Made in Japan - Top-Notch Performance by Adam Walsh

I have the red 1 liter model, not sure if all of this applies to other sizes. In general, the thing is very pleasant. Advantages: - Keeps the coffee hot for a long time; ok by noon if I do it at 8am - Looks cool - Size 3 Hario V60 fits on it (Glass with plastic handle attached) Cons: - The inside of the lid is some kind of white porous plastic. It gets dirty with coffee and seems impossible to clean. As it stands, the coffee cools, and when the air escapes through the closed lid, the carafe makes a very faint but constant noise. Something like a faint click, like making the sound "tsk" with your mouth. Insanity! - The outer part of the decanter is partly made of metal and partly made of plastic. The reds go together, but is it inevitable that one will fade faster than the other over time and probably become ugly?
