The mug itself looks nice and I love that it can be used for both hot and cold drinks. The problem is that the top valve you drink from doesn't close! I would return it and buy something else but didn't have time to replace the Christmas present. If you want a mug that won't close and could potentially spill into your car, get this - if you're looking for something with a lid that actually closes, don't buy this!
