So be sure to read the instructions, especially the part that says to attach the ankle strap on first use. I didn't even want to bring it and my girlfriend told me to wear it. I got up confidently, it was a bit shaky but that was okay and I continued paddling down the lake towards my father's house. After about 30 seconds I ate it very hard in the water; got my nose wet and completely wet my non-swimming gear. Needless to say it was so much fun once you got the hang of it after an hour. It took a bit of power to get it up to 12psi, but it's pretty easy. Great thickness and quite soft even when you are on your knees. Enjoy if you live by the lake and we'll buy another one once we get the hang of it. Not bad for $299! This is the brand worth buying, don't even look at any other. Comes with everything you need and took 15 minutes from box to install. Buy it!
