Review on Nikon NIKKOR Fixed Focus Cameras by Kenta Nakashima ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I didnt expect the quality to be so high.

An excellent lens for my money, I think this is one of Nikon's masterpieces, only 85mm f / 1.4G is better (85mm f / 1.8D is not so simple here), but this is a completely different story at a price of 3 (3!) times more expensive for people who do not tolerate compromise! What else can I say . a classic portrait painter. Some pros: Aperture, the picture is pleasant (but without any peculiarities), fully working f1.8, sharp (anyone, for me +), focuses accurately, constructive (nothing dangles, does not creak, dust does not pull inside), price-quality ratio high, without geometric distortions. Its cons: I don’t consider this a special drawback (I don’t know who might even think of shooting a report, then of course it will be an unfortunate surprise), but still the autofocus is quite slow (slower than, for example, 50mm 1,4G). Up to f4 bokeh without nit-picking, smooth circles, starting from f4 "nuts" begin to appear in the bokeh (cough, if they didn't appear, no one would buy 85mm f / 1.4G .), chromate on the open. Does not focus closer than 85cm (but this is how it should actually be).
