I expected more from Pearl Izumi
Overall they kept my feet warm on cold spring days. But they aren't waterproof, I'm not sure anyone can tell. The bottom is obviously open to clamps and there is a water entry point. There was also an elastic strap section at the bottom of the boot due to missing or stuck clips, to the point where I almost had an accident when the boot/boot wouldn't unbuckle. I've used them on 8 trips totaling about 500 miles and I think I can get another cold season out of them. Toe pads were perhaps the best way to go.
