I like her. in shoes

Not so "waterproof" when there is water everywhere. But let me put it this way: is there really anything that keeps you dry when water is everywhere? I would be more worried about my bike. These overshoes keep you warm and are somewhat waterproof. I like her.

Pros
  • Absolutely gorgeous!
Cons

Pearl Izumi Pro Barrier Display Cover

Bought these for my husband who commutes to work by bike. He loves them and is easy to put on and take off. His feet are always warm, as long as the ankle boots protect his feet from rain and wind, he will be much more comfortable and pleasant to ride. His shoe size is 9 1/2 and I ordered the x-large and they fit perfectly.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Poorly Thoughtful

Runs small for shoes

Can't rate their effectiveness as they were too small. I wear 44 (9 or 9.5) cycling shoes. I use mountain bike shoes for hiking. The large size was a real challenge to put on the shoes. I was also a little disappointed with how thin they are. I sent them back and ordered a size XL for the next step in the Pearl Izumi line. Should make me better

Pros
  • Easy adjustment
Cons
  • Has issues

My feet are wet! good for sports

I read the reviews. I received an XXL (the largest size) which should cover my size 12 road shoes. But they let water through the sides so the area around my feet (from the pinky finger to about halfway down the foot) gets wet. Also, it's almost impossible to fully seal the back, so the backs of my feet get wet over the heels too. $39 down the drain. All of my other Pearl Izumi items are great. BUT THESE "RAIN BOOTS" WILL NOT SAVE YOUR FEET! @#%^&%*!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Disappear

I expected more from Pearl Izumi

Overall they kept my feet warm on cold spring days. But they aren't waterproof, I'm not sure anyone can tell. The bottom is obviously open to clamps and there is a water entry point. There was also an elastic strap section at the bottom of the boot due to missing or stuck clips, to the point where I almost had an accident when the boot/boot wouldn't unbuckle. I've used them on 8 trips totaling about 500 miles and I think I can get another cold season out of them. Toe pads were perhaps the bestโ€ฆ

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • I doubt it

Not waterproof at all

I've had these supposedly waterproof ankle boots for over a year now and really wanted to like them. Unfortunately, they are hardly functional - in light rain quickly (<10 minutes) they are sufficient. Everything else and your feet will get wet. In moderate rain they offer at least limited protection compared to nothing, but if you're on the bike for more than 30 minutes it doesn't matter. In the rain - forget it. I'm lucky and only have a 10 minute bike ride to work so I kept them asโ€ฆ

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Damaged
