I bought five similar models (from one of the Big Box hardware stores) as gifts about four years ago and unfortunately mine was stolen. Another model that appeared to be identical to this one was all black and all metal, the bit stock and other parts were not painted black but were just metal. They were very well adjusted to each other, tight and not hanging down. The most important thing for me was that this Steelman model that was delivered to me was looser and had very poor paintwork on the metal parts of the stem. The rod rattles a little. Only the quality is not the same, the colors did not please either, IMHO. I would wish that another brand would appear in the big hardware store.
