Review on ๐ŸŒˆ Revolutionize Your 3D Printing with AMOLEN Multicolor Printer Filament by Jhonathan Bagwell

Pretty good, but not without problems.

The main reason I bought this set was the wood and bronze threads. I knew there might be some issues based on the reviews but overall I felt safe using it. As with everything else, there is a bit of trial and error involved. It's definitely a good idea to store filament profiles in a slicer (Cura in my case). When printing a basic shape (e.g. a tool handle) it can be sanded down but doesn't really look like natural "wood". ". Nevertheless, it looks good and feels good in the hand (grip). However, when it comes to more complex shapes, for example figures of human characters or even spaceships from Star Trek, you can get a very interesting finish. At first glance it looks awful (especially with the supports) but once you remove the supports and cut/scrape off all loose ends it looks better, after you sand it down the end result looks like it's made out of natural wood. For example When I printed the Daedalus class spaceship from Star Trek I was able to achieve a "wood texture" look to the pattern. By simply changing the orientation of the print you can change how the wood texture looks in the end. Now that I have printed a small spaceship (the size of a micromachine), it was easy to break the fragile parts, but even then it looked cool.

Pros
  • โœ” A GIFT FOR CHILDREN. When the filament is not glowing, it looks white and transparent, which is very convenient for drawing. Your child can color it in any color. It will stimulate children's imagination, creativity and hands-on ability. AMOLEN Glow Pla Filament is a great gift for kids.
