The best way I've found to make a cold drink.

For many years I have been trying to figure out how best to make a cold drink that is good enough that my wife and I wouldn't buy it at the local coffee shop. I started with an expensive glass carafe with a built-in strainer. The desired quantity could not be produced and the coffee always had dirt on the bottom. Then I bought a large 60 ounce sealed jar and used reusable canvas bags. The volume was good and the coffee was ok but still quite dirty. Also, the pockets were very difficult to clean. What I like about them is that they are disposable and biodegradable while still being reasonably durable. I haven't had a single break yet. If I had one complaint it would be that large pockets need to be narrower. Of course, putting them in a glass isn't a problem, but getting them out after the coffee has absorbed the water won't be easy. This is such a problem that I've started tying the bags like a pork tenderloin so they hold their shape and are easy to remove. However, these pouches are the best way to make a cold drink and I will continue to use them. I just wish they had made the large bag look more like a long tube than a rectangular bag.
