Review on Enhanced BBQ Experience with the Unknown BBQ Kettle Stainless Steel Lid Hinge by Shakira Loper

Love this product. The 22.5 WSM has 2 handles on the lid, one in front and one on top. It is almost impossible to lower the lid with the front handle as the lid must first be lifted vertically to unlock it. Then it can be lowered. So you have to use the top handle, which means you may have to lift the lid vertically on the side of the smoker instead of right in front. This can be important when planning how much space you need. This product is really good because you don't have to put the lid on the floor, but you can still easily remove the lid by removing the pin on the hinge. I find the cost of the hinge a little high and doesn't offer much value. But this is a unique product with few alternatives. I accidentally bought the kettle and installed it on my WSM. The hinge designed for the Weber kettle does not fit the WSM as the lid does not lift high enough from the smoker. If you install the Kettle version first, the WSM hinge will not use the same holes as the WSM hinge is larger. However, the WSM hinge can be configured to cover the holes made in the Kettle version.
