After almost two months of use I have changed my rating from 3 stars to 5 stars. In my previous review and in many other reviews, you may have noticed that the fan control seems poor and the fan speed is low no matter what level it should be. Now I take care of the problem. The fan control problem is NOT due to a bad motor control system, it is due to you turning it low with a switch! Many fans have a hanger that allows you to manually switch the fan speed. In my case I switched it to low speed BEFORE changing the fan control. In this case I could not increase the fan speed with the controller and the fan speed was always low. As soon as I pulled the trailer out and switched it to high speed, the controller magically works flawlessly! It can be easily switched from high to medium to slow speed. So if you find bad reviews stating that the fan controller doesn't work, it's because the fan is fixed at low speed. You can use this fan control when you manually switch the fan to high speed. ------------------ I have a Hunter fan and light and its original Hunter fan and light controller. Model 27185 is broken. I bought this remote control kit to replace a broken one. The dimmer works well when there is enough light. However, the fan control is not very good. The high, medium and low fan speeds are the same and very slow. Installation is a headache. So I don't want to swap it anymore. I just want people to know about the problem. I see that many have reported this issue as well. I hope others have the same problem.
