This floating monster will destroy anything in its path, tear a rotator cuff and split chopping boards in half. And it looks great. The beautiful handle is so perfectly polished and smooth that even with a drop of water it's comfortable to hold, so don't be careless when using it or 3 pounds of steel will fly at your feet. The display stand is the perfect complement. except for a dubious decision by Dalstrong. The blade slot is very wide for the most exposed blade, but too narrow to leave a blade cover. So why not downsize for a closer fit? In general, you don't need it and probably won't use it very often. but you only want this in your kitchen because it's an impressive piece of kitchen art that you can use occasionally.
