I have a 2014 GLK300 and I always buy a Mann filter by OEM part number. I bought this and a Mann filter to compare and see if the libraries save for $7. It's worth it, I usually change the filter every 6 months as there's a lot of dust where I usually ride. Here's a comparison, ribs: The Mann filter has 69 ribs. Premium protection 61 ribs. rubber thickness. Male: 13.43mm. SofterPremium Guard: feels like real rubber and is denser Fin material: Mannfilter: a bit thicker, can imagine it can filter more dust but is less air permeable. Premium Guard: thinner and a bit more flexible but not a big difference the touch is of good quality. Size: Both are the same size. I hope this review helps you decide to change the filter every 6 months. I think I'll buy premium protection if I don't see a ton of dust going through the filter. which I doubt if it looks and feels like a quality filter. If I decide to change it every year, I will continue to buy a Mann filter, but I prefer to change it often.
