Revainrating 5 out of 5

Finally the right length. A very happy customer.

These elevators are perfect. I used to order lifts from another supplier that said they "fit" and they were about an inch shorter than my originals. That meant my back door opened almost 15 INCHES lower. I immediately sent them back and ordered these. The actual length of my stock Kia jacks from the center of one bushing to the center of the other is 19.69 inches, or almost 19 ยพ inches. The jacks I had to return had a claimed extended length of 18.9 inches and while that doesn't seem like a huge difference, it turned out to be huge. assured me that the distance from the center of one bushing to the center of the other was 19.69 inches. This is also called "extended length" if you think it might be the overall length. It's not, it's a measurement between pivot points. I've used a length of pipe (and my wife) to hold the tailgate open and depressurize the lift when I swap it out, but a broom, some books, and a husband will help. work too. Once all of the tailgate's weight is taken off the lift, simply slide a small screwdriver under the spring clip and they'll pop out instantly. I cleaned and lubricated the balls and snapped the new ones into place. There is no need to work with the new screwdrivers, they are simply inserted. In two minutes the job was done and I saved about $200 on original parts, not to mention dealer labor costs. My back door opens like it's new and I don't hit my head. I hope they last for many years but if not they are guaranteed for LIFE. The Revain page says one year but the customer service lady said it was a typo and it's actually a lifetime warranty. You can call or chat with them to confirm if they haven't changed the page yet. As always, I come back and edit if something goes wrong. Hope that helps.
