It is often very difficult to isolate and identify a failed relay, especially when it fails intermittently. With a fuse you can check its condition by visual inspection, with a relay it is quite different. No very noticeable heat or physical damage, you can't tell just by looking at them. This left you either replacing known good ones to try and isolating the problem relay, or replacing them with new ones until you found the problem relay. For the price this tester is sold for, it literally pays for itself in the first use. Connect the relay in question to the device after connecting the wires to a good battery. green you are awesome replace red. It runs the test 10 times to detect intermittent problems. It is really that easy. Note. Disconnect the battery before removing the relay. I tested this on a known good and a known bad relay. It worked fine both times. An essential tool for anyone working with automotive electrical systems.
