I bought this steam mop in January 2016. I chose Bissell after using 3 Shark mops in 5 years. like the fact that it stands on its own without having to lean against anything else (on the Shark it inevitably slipped and fell to the ground). It heats up quickly, cools down quickly and the water tank is easy to remove and fill. I have about 1,000 square feet of hard floor (laminate) on the first floor. One tank can take care of my entire basement. He gets along well with the grooves in the floor. The pads absorb stubborn dirt and grime with a little lubrication on the elbow. The pads are easy to wash. I have since bought another set of pads but still use the original pads as spares.
