This would be an OK product if it worked as advertised but it doesn't. The range of the 3 inch model is advertised as 3 9/16 inches but as you can see in the photo it is closer to 2 9/16 inches. I needed about 3 inches of reach to grab the bearing and it wasn't enough for my application. As mentioned by others, bent jaws can damage seals. If you are replacing a worn or dead bearing, this is not the case. makes a difference if you damage the old one, but if you need to remove and reinstall the bearing then this isn't the right tool for the job.
