Review on CRC 14089 Perma Mend Curable Repair by Todd Phillips

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Not flexible and poor performance in general.

Made two orders in this setting, the hardness of the first one received was due to age hardening/storage damage. The second order was just as bad as the first. So I can assume that this is a property of the product itself, namely: The material of the patch has two main disadvantages. First, it has very little flexibility to attach it to any surface with a radius less than 6 to 8 inches. It will definitely not wrap around corners or around small radius shapes. Second, although the adhesive is tacky, it will not hold the product securely in place. curved surfaces. After curing, the product will be hard and stiff, as expected. However, if it flexes too much during use, it will crack and delaminate, rendering it virtually unusable. The product is a blend of layers of mineral filled resin and chopped fiberglass - with an adhesive backing added. Does not provide a watertight seal so not recommended for boat repairs. The repair of pressure lines is also likely to fail. Generally not suitable for anything other than repairing holes in flat panel displays under non-critical conditions. In comparison, Super Glue 15289 Permanent Patch is the best product for it in terms of surface conformability, adhesion and overall application flexibility.
