Good charger, software needs updating

Bought this charger to complement my c9000, BC1000 and Opus BT-C3100. Pros: - Nice and portable form factor - Bright and clear color screen - A power adapter was included with my purchase, which was a relief as some Youtube reviewers claimed there was no adapter included. - Another bonus is the screen protector. - Although it is an advanced charger, the programming is easy to understand. The included guide isn't very helpful due to some language issues during translation, but so far it's been easy to figure out. Out of the box I updated the firmware to version 1.0.0.15. The update was also easy as the file contained the necessary software to update the charger firmware. The fan cools the cells (but this is also a minus in the next section) Cons (after 2 days there are several play with the charger): - Using the analysis function for NiMH, I found that the final declared capacity was the charging capacity , not the discharge capacity as reported by other chargers I own. I found it unusual that after the parse function completes, the numbers appear too high. I found a workaround and used the cycle function with 1 cycle programmed. This will actually report the discharge capacity. Hopefully this will be fixed in future firmware updates. Another disadvantage is the fan noise. It's noisy. Very loud. It got to the point that I put the charger in another room as it was loud enough to keep me awake. It would be nice to have different fan speeds in the firmware, but that's to be desired. Overall a good charger. I just hope they fix the issues I've outlined in the cons list. I recommend this charger in this price range. I will mainly be using it for NiMH/NiCD batteries but I like how it charges Li-Ion and NIZN to name a few. When they fix the capacity reading analysis issue I will update this review. Quick update 4/7/2018: - My recommendation to use a cycle instead of a battery capacity analysis is wrong. I noticed that it also shows the charge capacity and not the discharge capacity. For now I'll downgrade this rating to 3 stars until they can fix the issue as the analytics feature is one of the main reasons people want to buy this charger. Without an accurate discharge capacity reading, you cannot determine actual cell capacity. Update 6/14/18: I updated the OS to version 1.1.0.6 and they fixed my problem that I could see the bit capacity of the cells. Selecting the desired slot and pressing the O button opens more information, including discharge power. I would like to thank the company for the constant update. I will upgrade the star to 4/5 (fan noise is still an issue).
