I didn't want to buy Samsung's more expensive edge tape, especially as it was precut and I wanted to make my own edge length. Based on some reviews I wasn't sure if this would work, but it worked. One thing that caught my eye was a review that said the vacuum went straight through. My vacuum also did this the FIRST TIME and then changed direction instead of moving forward. My vacuum seems to have taken root and now it senses the boundary marker within an inch or two and moves away. Also, you need to put something on it so that it sticks to the floor, or the vacuum cleaner will squeeze it. I use reusable, removable putty (fun) to push it down and then lift it up until next time. (It's uncomfortable, but it keeps the vacuum from getting stuck under my tables.)
