I bought another version and it was a disappointment. It has a flat side (best for flattening chicken and other meats) and a tender side that will probably work pretty well. (I don't use it like that yet anyway) It's a decent weight, which is very important. Works better than my little iron skillet! (but that's fine too). The handle is very beautiful. So he does his job well. It's not easy to clean as dirt gets trapped between the rough side tips even if you don't use that side to soften. However, a good product is worth the money.
