Works as intended but not exactly

I first watched some YouTube videos demonstrating this product. What attracted me was the ability to drill holes for both boards at the same time. After a few uses here is my experience with this jig: 1) The accuracy of this jig is VERY dependent on your ability to level the boards from above. each other. Of course, the larger the pieces, the more difficult it is to align them. For example, if you are off by a degree, it will be very noticeable in your final product. They also balance the boards on fairly small jigs, so it's not easy. I've already done a few projects and just stringed together a few connections. 2) The screws holding the pilot drills are very soft. You will take them off after several projects (5th time). No, I don't tighten them like crazy, they're just very soft metal. It is also a long process to switch guides between different sizes. You need to remove 4 screws and a small hex screw. It takes time and after a while the process wears you down. Switching between different fittings is also a challenge. 3) For the price, the quality of the metal seems acceptable, especially compared to the material used in the Kreg fittings. But it's definitely a brittle metal. Although they are NOT cracked or chipped yet, they have not fallen off yet. 4) This device is not intuitive to use. Practice a few times to get the alignment right. The learning curve is slightly higher than the simpler device, mainly due to the complexity of the device. Kudos to the designers for their innovation. 5) Ultimately, this device works. You'll make good strong connections, but it's not the fastest, most accurate, or easiest. I ended up buying another design jig just because the usability of this jig is not smooth. It's just very cumbersome. My confidence in getting perfectly aligned connections with this design is low. Summary: It is more flexible than other designs but comes with complexity. Works great if you just want to put things together without perfect alignment.
