This router is a great choice for building a home network or small business network. I have a lot of experience with computer hardware, but this was my first time setting up a home network. I looked at this router and Linksys BEFSR41 and settled on Netgear. I'm very glad I did this. Reviews of both routers complain about customer service. I don't know how Netgear customer service works because I never had to call them. I set up a network with three computers, all running XP. Fifteen minutes after unpacking the router, all three devices were online and working properly. I used the setup guide that came with the router, which told me everything I needed to do. Installation was easy, couldn't be simpler. I've been using it as an "always on" network for over a month now and it's never hung or blocked; I didn't have to restart or reset it once. My only complaint is the port orientation. All network connections are on the front of the box, while the power connector is on the back, making it difficult to place on a desk. But this objection is cosmetic and insidious. However, the outside of the device is made of metal and is very durable. Overall, this is a very affordable router that doesn't necessarily have all the bells and whistles of other models, but is very reliable and good at what it does. If you're looking for an inexpensive and highly reliable router for your home or small business network, buy this little guy today.
