I bought a hand pump after my aquarium leaked. Before that, I used an ordinary tube to replace water, but I was already tired of sucking air out of it and I decided to buy something more civilized. As a result, I bought a Barbus A 031 siphon. I chose a manual siphon to clean the bottom. Its length is 172 cm, at the end, which falls into the water, there is a mesh. I read about it before buying and was glad that not one of the shrimp would end up in a bucket for mopping the floor. Yep, dreaming. The size of the net is such that any shrimp will be sucked in there. I decided to try the siphon again on the current aquarium, when it was washed from sand. I had to quickly drain about 10 liters of water, but I could not do it with a siphon. It simply does not create water flow inside the tube. Apparently the parts are poorly fitted, it is necessary to silicone them. And then I’m not sure if it will work after that, since the pear is very hard and can deform when you press it. The siphon actually consists of four parts, in some places there are rings on top that apparently fix the tubes on the pear. Judging by the instructions - it is ready for use immediately. Washed and ready to use. But in fact, repeatedly pressing the pear does not lead to the fact that the water starts to flow. It rises to the pear with intense compression of the latter and flows down in a thin stream while you work with your hand. The hose is not completely filled. full plum, as it happens with me with a regular hose, it didn’t work, no matter how hard I tried. The hand quickly got tired, and the water drained at least. So I took another, old hose. I regret that I bought a siphon from Barbus A 031 - I saved 10 rubles - I originally wanted to buy a siphon from another company. Yes, and I bought it on the Internet - if I took it in a store, I would immediately doubt it, such a clumsy product. I am dissatisfied with the purchase, I will try not to buy anything from Barbus anymore, especially since the backlight of the same company broke down - the LEDs flew off. Apparently, the company's products are not of high quality. I will try, of course, to glue the entire hose with silicone when I glue the aquarium, but this is not the case, of course. To remake or finish after the manufacturer is not a hunt, even if the thing is not expensive - less than 200 rubles, but still. Summed up at the crucial moment. Therefore, I don't recommend it.
