I have four frosted glass panes and two cabinets. The manufacturer or previous owner used clamps offset by a quarter inch or more. Ignore them for over tightening and many of them have snapped in the screw hole; Or they worked overtime due to usage. I've taken them off and used them as a spare and they've worked great so far.
