Almost impossible to remove

I was very disappointed with this project and have used many strippers over the years. It smells good and is easy to apply. However, when it comes to removing and washing old paint, it's almost impossible. It curls up and stays sticky. I've tried sanding, scraping, pouring etc but my furniture is a mess. I had to buy another stripper to remove this one.
