Review on Get Comfy With Odoland Large Yoga Mat – Extra Thick And Non-Slip For Home Gym Workout And Pilates by Christopher Hicks

Slips when in down dog

If you are looking for an extra-large yoga mat, I cannot recommend this Odoland one. My dry hands and feet do slip in stretched-out positions where you need grip. I picked this one for the eco-friendly material, size, and lighter-weight and cheaper price than Gorilla mats. Now I want to find something in between this and Gorilla mat in terms of yoga-mat quality. For anything else that you need a soft padding with a large surface area that is lightweight to carry, it's fine. Material reminds me of those kids play mats but thinner and a lot more flexible. Probably not too durable though in the long run; it can easily be damaged by scissors. I accidentally cut a couple of tiny divots out of it with the tip of my scissors while removing the shrink wrap it came in. I want to return it but can't and can't figure out any other use for it. I guess I'll place my original yoga mat (plain Gaiam blue one I've had for about 11 yrs) on top of this one to have grip, while this one will at least still provide floor coverage.

Pros
  • Provides excellent cushioning and support for joints
Cons
  • The mat's thickness could make it difficult to store in gym lockers
