I needed to connect wi-fi to my free standing exercise garage and that sounded like a good option. Since I use a Netgear router at home, I decided to buy a router from the same brand to avoid compatibility issues. It worked after the first install, but every time I plugged it in, I lost all Wi-Fi connections from my main laptop, which I use to work from home. Obviously unacceptable. I contacted tech support and followed their instructions to get my laptop working again only to lose all internet/wifi in the garage (I had a router plugged into my garage as it only provides a wired connection without one). I followed the additional instructions from tech support to no avail, after which I gave up and bought another brand of WiFi extender for half the price that came right out of the box. This requires additional testing. I do IT troubleshooting at work, but that's where I get paid for it, I don't spend $60 just to spend a few hours troubleshooting. Other reviews said they got it working only to stop it after a few weeks or months.
