eliminates rattle on external accessories
It was a very quick installation (less than an hour total) I had an HD tire holder for my 35" tires (on 17" rims). Rattles / makes rubbing noises that are annoying. I still had to replace the hinges on the HD tire holder, after installation the tailgate was very stable and no longer rattled.
