I was concerned if it would hold my solid wood door with three self-closing hinges as several reviewers had issues. Well, so far so good. I didn't even have to adjust the tension of the straps (which really annoyed me). But I encountered some problems during the installation. I had to attach (with screws) the magnet to the gasket at the base of the door. But then I realized I have a half inch sill sticking out the front of the door and not allowing the magnet to get close enough to the floor. So I had to cut out two spacers to slide the magnet assembly far enough to get the magnet through the sill. And it works! And the bottom disc was attached with a glue circle. I'll give an update when I live with it for a few weeks. Last note: no instructions included. what happened to it
