This cat door works as described. It was easy enough to teach a cat to walk through, but it works with a strong magnet, makes a loud noise and tugs on the collar when the cat walks through, so some cats might be scared. Also the valve is hard plastic and it goes down quite hard and noisy, my cat hates it because she keeps wagging her tail. Binding clips to see on her magnet. She once attached my car keys to a magnet, and when she lays down next to my laptop, the magnet turns off the screen. So be careful with the things that have access to your cat's new hanging magnet. You will be surprised. It's very noisy, I can hear the cat entering and exiting every room in the house.
